The 11th week was the scariest for me so far bearing in mind I was having a pretty smooth pregnancy until this point. I woke up early morning and as my usual routine went to the washroom and all of a sudden I noticed a gush of blood in the toilet and naturally the first thought that came to my head was that I was losing my baby. I screamed for him husband and he helped me clean up and called my doctor right away who was unfortunately not available so I decided to go to another specialist, Dr. Ghada (I was going to change my doctor anyway due to insurance reasons).
We rushed to her clinic and couldnt stop crying throughout the way. He kept reassuring me that if there are no cramps then everything will be okay and even though they were no cramps, they say every pregnancy is different right?
After making it to the hospitals, they took my vitals and everything looked good and then I got to meet the doctor who checked the baby right away through my very first abdominal ultrasound and I just started tearing away after seeing my baby jump in my belly. It was SUCH a relieve.
Until this day I thought I was a horrible pregnant woman as I had no major feelings towards my unborn child since I couldnt feel anything but everything changed this day. I just wanted to hug the little baby inside me.
The doctor suggested I try to rest it out (not necessarily bed rest but just to take it easy) and suggested I take a progesterone shot to help with the bleeding in addition to Duphaston 3 times a day to calm things down.
So that was week 11 for me, the bleeding continued throughout the week but had turned a lot lesser than that day and I continued my medication throughout the week with no additional symptoms thankfully.
I want to share my experience to all the women out there suffering with similar issues and visiting every site on Google to find answers. Just know you are not alone!
